[Pāṇini’s acht Bücher 6, 2, 78.] Hüter der Reihen (der Kälber), ein angenommener Name Sahadeva's beim König Virāṭa. teṣāṃ gosaṃkhya āsaṃ vai tantipāleti māṃ viduḥ [Mahābhārata 4, 289.] tantripāla [68.] [Hemacandra’s Abhidhānacintāmaṇi 138], wo Sahadeva und Nakula mit einander verwechselt werden, erscheint tantipālaka als Beiname Nakula's.
