Saṃsthihati (संस्थिहति) or Saṃtiṣṭhate.—turns into, assumes the form of: Lalitavistara 317.8 (te ca, sc. the weapons of Māra and his host, bodhisattvasyopari) prakṣiptāḥ puṣpavitāne (v.l. °tāna-, better) vimānāni saṃtiṣṭhante sma; similarly 317.10; Mahāvastu i.236.10 = 241.4 (verse), see s.v. kañcuka.
