1) adj. dasselbe Zeichen tragend (2. sam + aṅka, = samānacihna [Sāyaṇa]) [The Śatapathabrāhmaṇa 3, 6, 2, 1.] —
2) m. a) Haken, Klammer (von añc mit sam; vgl. aṅka) bildlich für Schmerzen [Atharvavedasaṃhitā 1, 12, 2.] — b) ein best. das Getraide zerstörendes Thier [Atharvavedasaṃhitā 6, 50, 2.] vielleicht fehlerhaft.
