Source: archive.org: Ceylon Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society 1963Rājamahā is the name of a vihāra that existed in the ancient kingdom of Anurādhapura, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).—Kaniṭṭha Tissa (167-186) built three vihāras in the eastern division of Rājaraṭṭha:—(i) Niyelatissārāma; (ii) Pīlapiṭṭhi; and (iii) Rājamahā-vihāra which may be the same as Rājasāla-vihāra to which Aggabodhi VIII (804-815) granted the village Cūlavāpiyagāma.
