Parāhṇa (पराह्ण):—m. Nachmittag Cit. beim [Scholiast] zu [Śākuntala 86] [?(Kathāsaritsāgara 39, 247] ist bhuktvāparāhṇamativahya zu schreiben). pūrvāhna in derselben Bed. [Arjunasamāgama 4, 7] [?(Mahābhārata 3, 11998] liest athāparāhṇe st. atha parāhne). [Pañcatantra 247, 12.] [Varāhamihira’s Bṛhajjātaka S. 88, 6.] parāhna (parā + ahna = ahan) ist nach dem [Scholiast] zu [Pāṇini’s acht Bücher 8, 4, 7] = parāgatamahaḥ . In der Bed. Nachmittag ist wohl überall parāhṇa zu lesen; zerlegt man parā in para + ahna, dann muss nach [Pāṇini’s acht Bücher 8, 4, 7] parāhṇa geschrieben werden.
