1) adj. spielend, tändelnd: krīḍanikā dhātrī [Vyutpatti oder Mahāvyutpatti 219.] —

Spielzeug [Mahābhārata 3, 514. 14367.] [Śākuntala 105, 10.] [Bhāgavatapurāṇa 1, 5, 24. 2, 3, 15.] bāla [Mahābhārata 3, 1153.] [Suśruta 1, 54, 15.] An keiner der eben aufgeführten Stellen ist das Geschlecht des Wortes zu erkennen. Wir würden dasselbe ohne Bedenken für ein neutr. (vgl. kumārīkrīḍanaka) erklären, wenn es nicht [Bhāgavatapurāṇa 3, 2, 30] als entschiedenes masc. (krīḍanakān) aufträte.
