Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarykantraṇa (कंत्रण).—n A deep contrivance or counsel; a skilful or a wily scheme, plan, or plot. 2 This last word kantrāṭa or ḍa is now a naturalized corruption from Contract; and kantrāṭyā a & kantrāṭadāra c are formed from Contractor. 3 From the two former (some untraceable corruption) arise kantrāṇī & kantrāṇyā in the sense Contriving; shrewd of counsel; fertile of schemes, devices, plans, plots; esp. with implication of mischievousness or evil.
