2) f. — a) in der nachvedischen Sprache eine weibliche Verwandte des Hausvaters , inbes. die Schwiegertochter , auch wohl Schwester. Auch jāmī. — b) Nomen proprium — α) einer Göttin. — β) jāmī einer Apsaras [Harivaṃśa 3,69,16.] — γ) einer Gattin Dharma's. Auch jāmī [VP.².2,21.] —
