Ekajāti (एकजाति):—(eka + jāti) adj.

1) nur eine Geburt habend: brāhmaṇaḥ kṣatriyo vaiśyastrayo varṇā dvijātayaḥ . caturtha ekajātistu śūdro nāsti tu pañcamaḥ .. [Manu’s Gesetzbuch 10, 4.] subst. ein Śūdra: ekajātirdvijātīṃstu vācā dāruṇayā kṣipan [8, 270.] —
