1) eines alten Königs, eines Sohnes des Dilīpa, der mit Hilfe Śiva’s die Gaṅgā vom Himmel zur Erde und von da zum Meere geführt haben soll, um die Asehe seiner Väter, der Söhne des Sagara, zu entsühnen, die beim Suchen des thnen geraubten, zum Opfer bestimmten Rosses die Erde durchwühlt und dafür von Viṣṇu in der Gestalt von Kapila zu Asche verbrannt worden waren.
