Fehler für barisa . der Schol. erklärt übrigens: bahiḥ prāntadvaye) [Śāṅkhāyana’s Brāhmaṇa 9, 4.] varsa n. zu [Pāṇini’s acht Bücher 8, 3, 59.] Dass hier die Lesart varsam allein richtig und dass nicht varṣam zu lesen sei, wie in [MĀN. 173,b.] behauptet wird, liegt klar auf der Hand. saragādīnāmiti vaktavyam kann unmöglich ein Vārttika [KĀTYĀYANA'S] sein, oder man müsste annehmen, dass [Kātyāyana] sich selbst verbesserte. Es sind wahrscheinlich noch [PATAÑJALI'S] Worte: statt sarakaḥ, wie [Kātyāyana] gesagt hatte, will er saragādīnām gesetzt haben.
