1) To bid adieu, bid farewell; आपृच्छस्व प्रियसखममुं तुङ्गमालिङ्ग्य शैलम् (āpṛcchasva priyasakhamamuṃ tuṅgamāliṅgya śailam) Meghadūta 12; R.8.49,12.13; Mālatīmādhava (Bombay) 7; Bhaṭṭikāvya 14.63.
2) To salute on receiving, but particularly parting with a visitor (sādho yāmi iti vacanam)
3) To ask.
4) To extol. Irregularly it is used in Parasmaipada also; cf. आपृच्छ पुत्रकृतकान् हरिणान् द्रुमांश्च (āpṛccha putrakṛtakān hariṇān drumāṃśca) Pratimā.5.11.
