Abhūmi (अभूमि):—(3. a + bhūmi) f.

1) Nicht - Erde, irgend Etwas mit Ausnahme der Erde: śūlaṃ cābhūmau nikṣipet [Kātyāyana’s Śrautasūtrāṇi 6, 8, 3.] —

2) ein ungeeigneter Ort: abhūmiriyamavinayasya [Śākuntala 101, 19.] abhūmirdarpāṇāmaham [Śihlana’s Śāntiśataka 4, 22.] sa khalu manorathānāmapyabhūmirvisarjanāvasarasatkāraḥ fürwahr die Gunstbezeugung bei Gelegenheit der Entlassung war sogar ausser dem Bereich der Wünsche, (übertraf sogar alle Wünsche) [Śākuntala 97, 9.] Vgl.
