This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 96.15

महारतननिर्घोषा कंपते सा न सीदति ।
स्वरेण वदतोत्थाप्यानुस्मृता वसुन्धरा ॥ १५ ॥

mahāratananirghoṣā kaṃpate sā na sīdati |
svareṇa vadatotthāpyānusmṛtā vasundharā || 15 ||

The wealth-bearing earth quaked to the rattling of its many precious stones, for it rises up when it remembers that speaking voice. (15)
