This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

पदुमुत्तरो दशबलो जातीये आसि क्षत्रियो ।
अत्युच्चगामी भगवां जातीये आसि ब्राह्मणो ॥ ७६ ॥
padumuttaro daśabalo jātīye āsi kṣatriyo |
atyuccagāmī bhagavāṃ jātīye āsi brāhmaṇo || 76 ||
“The Dashabala Padumottara was by birth a noble, while the Exalted One Atyuccagamin was by birth a brahman. (76)
